Tournament rules

1. Nations Cup is a team competition of golf playing journalists. Every European country can be represented by only one team.

2. The number of the players of every team is between 7 and 5. All players must have a certified handicap and must be amateurs.

3. The mode of the competition is individual Stableford net.

4. Each player’s handicap index will be adjusted according to the Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně course and slope rating of the course. This will be the full playing handicap. The full playing handicap will then be reduced to three quarters (¾). The adjusted playing handicap will be the handicap fot the Nations Cup. If the result is higher than 18, the handicap for Nations Cup will be 18.

5. At the end of each day of competition the team score will be calculated adding the best 5 scores of each team. At the end of the event all the daily team scores will be added in order to obtain the final team score.

6. In case of a tie the best discarded score of the last day will determine the winner and the subsequent ranking. If the tie remains, the second best discarded score will prevail and, eventually, the third discarded score will be checked. If the tie cannot be broken, the same rule will apply to the previous day’s scores.

7. In case of a suspended play or if play cannot be resumed, the scores will be calculated on the front 9 holes if all the players played 9 holes, otherwise the round will be cancelled.

8. Outside of the main team competition, there will be also calculated the best individual Stableford score in two cathegories: brutto and netto.

9. Additional competitions will be Longest drive on the Hole Nr. 4 on first competition day (30. 9.) in two cathegories (Man and Woman) and nearest to the PIN on the hole Nr. 9 on second competition day (1. 10.) in one category.
